"What We Have Here Is A Failure To Communicate"

Updated: May 1, 2019

Communication is something that we do on a daily basis whether or not we realize it. In our day-to-day lives, every part of our day deals with communication. We communicate with our spouses, we communicate with co-workers, we communicate with clients, etc. Communicating with other individuals is a natural part of life, but is something that we should not dismiss as easy to do.

Why should we work towards good communication at work? At any job we typically have two different groups of people we are trying to communicate with: coworkers and clients. In our case, we are communicating with other members on the church staff, church members, and those who are not church members. All three of those groups will be looking for information at one point or another and we need to be ready to meet their needs. As an employee on staff at a church, as well as a church member, I have witnessed communication done well and communication done poorly. The purpose of this blog is to help church communicators everywhere to be able to meet the needs of their staff, members and nonmembers by communicating the right information in the best possible way.

We will be posting once every month, so check back again next month for some more helpful tips and resources! For free resources right now, head over to our resource page.
